Manufacturing
Can Plant
CMP began manufacturing 3-piece steel cans in 1982. In 1991, the first 2-piece steel can manufacturing line was commissioned, heralding in a new era of can manufacturing for the company. Shortly after that, a second 2-piece can line was commissioned in 1995 to produce aluminum cans. In March 2022, after 31 years of operation, CMP made the leap to halt steel can production in favor of two aluminum can production lines with a total output of over 1.3 billion cans per annum. This has allowed us to utilize the latest technologies and supply high-quality, sustainable products of various sizes, including slim 200ml and 250ml cans to standard 300ml, 330ml and 355ml cans.
Easy Open End Plant
In 1994, CMP commissioned the Easy Open Ends production plant, which manufactures “ends” in 200 and 202 profiles. In doing so, we fully integrated both modulars, thereby producing the highest quality ends while adhering to best practices and ensuring the highest environmental sustainability standards.
